Homage to Michelangelo
The sculpture is installed in the city of Ma'a lot and was created during the Stone Symposium in 1992. It was influenced by Michelangelo's sculpture where the artist placed horns on Moses' forehead while adding a glow to his face. (In Hebrew the words for 'horn' and 'ray' sound and are spelt alike. This is the source of the artist's mistaken interpretation. Moses' face glowed when he encountered God face-to-face). The contours of the sculpture were in fact influenced by the well-known sculpture on the island of Knossos , the Minoan Horns.
